I had the pleasure of working with the agency EG+ to help deliver the DOOH campaign for expedia. There were a lot of assets to create that would run across social media, TV and across a large digital billboard selection to include Heathrow airport terminal and approach,  and across billboards around the uk and america. 
This set of animations were very subtle and designed to run on social media. As the project was about calm and getting away it was my job to add subtle movements in to elements of the stills, whether this be water moving, sand moving or adding movement to clouds and adding atmosphere to the images. 
and then there were the wider formats, where animation was kept to a minimum but some retouching and cleanup/object removal/tracking was done to the videos in the background
