To create a magazine for a niche subject that could realistically sell in the real world. The outcome; I decided that although the market is saturated with musical magazines they are usually broken up for different instruments. Musicians that I spoke to are usually not just focused on the one area and might be interested in drums but also how to record them or the best mic to do this for example. What I aimed to create was a magazine that bought together the best equipment for the serious musician all in one place. I based my idea on the 'GAS' (gear acquisition syndrome) idea, not limited just to musicians but it is the need to buy equipment. I called the magazine Tweak (as in tweak your rig) which for the purposes of music people, they are doing all the time. This was a guitar based issue hence the grill material and metal look name plate and featured 'tweaker', but if the magazine was to go in to shops each issue would focus on a different instrument and the cover would be tailored to that instrument along with the feature section.
